Team Greco Hill: A Climb with Purpose

Every step of the Headed for Hope 5K is meaningful, but near the end of the course, you’ll encounter a hill that carries a deeper purpose. Greco Hill is named in honor of Greco Roman Bouzakis, the young son of CNSA’s CEO, whose brave fight against brain cancer continues to inspire us all.

As you make the turn off Kings Drive and begin that climb, you’ll not only be moving toward the finish—you’ll be honoring the strength of patients like Greco and the countless families who have faced this same journey. This is why CNSA exists: to stand with those who fight, to remember those we’ve lost, and to push forward research, awareness, and care.

On race day, Team Greco will be there to lift you up the hill, reminding us all that hope, love, and perseverance endure.

The Legacy of Greco Roman Bouzakis

Greco Roman Bouzakis was just five years old when he faced one of life’s greatest battles: a diagnosis of diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG). With courage beyond his years, he lived more than three years beyond his prognosis, leaving an indelible mark on his family, the wrestling community, and everyone who knew his story.

His father, Troy Bouzakis—CEO of CNSA—has carried that experience into his life’s work, fueling his passion to improve care and research for patients with brain tumors. Greco’s older brothers, Nic, Vince, and sister Jaclyn, honor him through their own achievements in wrestling, carrying his memory onto the mat. Team Greco, a youth wrestling program formed in his name, continues to compete and inspire others to this day.

Greco’s story is one of courage, love, and enduring impact. His legacy lives on in this race, in the mission of CNSA, and in every runner who finds strength in his memory as they climb Greco Hill.

Together, we climb for Greco.
