Biography
Dr. Brea Willeford is a board-certified physician specializing in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine at Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine Associates (CNSA). She is dedicated to helping patients reduce pain, restore function, and return to the activities they enjoy through personalized, non-surgical treatment approaches.
Dr. Willeford's interest in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation began while she was a competitive gymnast in high school. After experiencing an injury that was successfully diagnosed and treated by a physiatrist, she became inspired by the specialty's focus on helping patients recover from injury, improve function, and regain quality of life. That experience ultimately led her to pursue a career in PM&R and Pain Medicine.
She treats a wide range of spine and musculoskeletal conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacral spine, as well as conditions involving the extremities. Dr. Willeford takes a patient-centered approach to care, working closely with each individual to understand how pain impacts their daily life and developing treatment plans tailored to their goals. She often combines conservative therapies with interventional procedures to help patients stay active, improve function, and achieve lasting relief.
Outside of the office, Dr. Willeford enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband. She stays active through hiking, running, snowboarding, and sailing. A native of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, she enjoys returning to the coast to visit family and remains a beach lover at heart. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new places and cultures.
