Daniel Morton, PA-C
Biography
Daniel
Morton, PA-C, is a physician assistant at Carolina NeuroSurgery &
Spine Associates (CNSA). He has a special interest in musculoskeletal
health and the difference exercise and a healthy lifestyle can make
in a patient’s overall health.
Daniel
first became interested in healthcare while serving in the Army,
where injuries were commonplace. After dealing with multiple minor
injuries himself and seeing friends experience the same, he spent
years learning how to rehab his own injuries, helping friends through
theirs, and going through several rounds of physical therapy. Through
those experiences, he became interested in musculoskeletal health,
training, overall health, and longevity.
After
working in family medicine and regularly seeing patients with back
pain and spinal conditions, Daniel wanted the opportunity to focus
more closely on musculoskeletal care.
When
caring for patients, Daniel believes in working together to find a
plan that makes sense for them and their quality of life. One piece
of advice he often shares with patients is, “Exercise
like your life depends on it, because it does.”
Born
in Brazil, Daniel spent much of his childhood moving around with his
family and grew up across four continents. He has also spent time in
43 states. He now calls North Carolina home with his wife, Ellen, and
their two dogs, Jax, an Airedale Terrier, and Maizey, a
Vizsla.
Outside
of work, Daniel enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, running, and
weightlifting. He also loves a quiet evening at home, listening to
classical music and cooking something new for his wife.
