Peter W Bailey, MD

Biography

Dr. Bailey is a board-certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine Associates (CNSA) who has spent much of his career caring for patients with spine and musculoskeletal conditions. He studied Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Georgia before completing his residency at the Mayo Clinic and later pursuing fellowship training in interventional spine medicine. Throughout his career, Dr. Bailey has continued advancing his expertise in the latest nonsurgical treatment techniques for spine and orthopedic conditions.

Dr. Bailey specializes in spinal injections of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine and incorporates regenerative medicine, ablation procedures, neuromodulation and prescribed exercise into his patient care approach. As an avid “weekend warrior,” he is passionate about helping patients return to active lifestyles and improving their overall quality of life. He believes strongly in patient education and takes pride in explaining conditions and treatment options in easy-to-understand terms so patients can feel informed and confident in their care decisions. His philosophy centers around the idea that “knowledge is power,” and that understanding a condition is an important part of the healing process.

Having spent more than a decade with CNSA earlier in his career, Dr. Bailey brings a deep familiarity with the organization’s patient-centered approach and collaborative culture. During his time practicing in Georgia, he continued caring for patients with complex spine and musculoskeletal conditions while further refining his expertise in interventional and nonsurgical spine care. He values CNSA’s commitment to innovation, teamwork and comprehensive patient care and is proud to continue serving patients as part of the practice’s multidisciplinary spine team.

Outside of patient care, Dr. Bailey enjoys spending time with his family, attending his daughters’ theatre and orchestra performances and traveling with his wife. He also enjoys biking, working out, attending concerts and growing his ever-expanding vinyl record collection.
