Neurosurgeon Michael Bohl, MD, completed his residency at the Barrow Neurological Instituteand is fellowship-trained in treating spinal deformities. He served in the US Marine Corps for four years (beginning on September 11, 2001) and is a veteran of two combat deployments.

At the age of nine, Emma Grace suffered a brain hemorrhage caused by a ruptured arteriovenous malformation (AVM). Our practice neurosurgeons, Joe Bernard, MD, and Tim Adamson, MD, performed life-saving procedures to remove her AVM. Nine years later, Emma Grace was accepted to NC State on a full merit scholarship.
