Biography
Lydia M. Jones, FNP, was inspired to pursue a career in healthcare from a young age. Growing up in Greenville, SC, she often accompanied her mother—a physical therapist working with post-stroke patients—on home visits and into rehabilitation settings. These early experiences instilled in her a deep respect for patient care and the transformative impact of healing relationships.
Lydia is known for her approachable, patient-centered care style. She believes the first step in achieving great outcomes is making patients feel comfortable, heard, and supported. By building trust and fostering open communication, she partners with her patients to develop personalized care plans that align with their goals and values.
Her advice to patients is to take an active role in their health, staying informed, setting realistic goals, and being consistent with simple, healthy habits. She encourages ongoing dialogue, believing that collaborative care leads to stronger outcomes and more empowered patients.
Outside of work, Lydia finds balance and joy through activities like
weightlifting, hiking, and mountain biking with her husband. She
plays piano to unwind and continues to sharpen her Spanish language
skills, which she first began studying at Clemson University. Lydia
and her husband, Emerson, have been married for nearly five years and
are active members of their church, where they enjoy being part of
the local community.
Lydia’s connection to CNSA began early in her nursing career when she worked on 9 Tower Med-Surg, caring for neurosurgical patients. During that time, she regularly interacted with CNSA’s surgeons and APPs and quickly recognized their skill, collaboration, and care for their patients. She later joined the OR team at CMC Main, where she worked closely with the CNSA neurosurgery team for over two years.
Impressed by the supportive culture, team longevity, and patient-first mission, Lydia knew CNSA was where she wanted to grow her career. She’s honored to be part of Dr. Holland’s team, serving patients across Concord and Huntersville.
