 The Congress of Neurological Surgeons named a published paper co-authored by Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine Associates neurosurgeon Matthew McGirt, MD, as Paper of the Year for 2018-2019 in the Socioeconomics, Health Policy and Law section.

The ability for spine surgeons across North America to share data about patient outcomes took a giant leap forward with the recent creation of the American Spine Registry (ASR). Anthony Asher, MD, FAANS, FACS, a neurosurgeon at Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates is Co-Chairman of the ASR.

Our Greensboro office recently welcomed the addition of neurosurgeon Thomas Ostergard, MD. Just a week prior to joining the practice, Dr. Ostergard was completing what many call the most difficult amateur cycling race in the world.
